The story could be fiction or maybe not.

Arniko Lives!

When deciding to whom the singular honor of carving the first ever life size portrait of ex King Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev should go to, there was little doubt in anyone’s mind that Dharma Raj Shakya would be the chosen one. The six and a half feet statue in white marble weighs almost two tons and took four months to be completed. Right now it stands tall in the courtyard of his premises, Arniko Stone Carving in Lalitpur Industrial Estate. Gazing at it with a satisfied look, the thirty two year old stone carver informs, “I believe it will be installed in Nepalganj.” (It never was, since Nepal became a republic soon afterwards).

Defining The Film Noir Movie Genre

The Film Noir is an unusual movie genre in the movie world because it is so hard to define. It is not like comedy, sci fi, western or romance, which have obvious and definable characteristics. Some might say that the boundaries of noir are very tight comparatively speaking, particularly those who confine the entire genre to twenty years, 1940-60, and a certain country, the United States.

Downloading Movies: the Current State of Affairs

It’s all over the web; downloading movies is here. Unfortunately, many consumers are unaware of the benefits of the service and recent developments. When informally polling consumers on a home electronics website, it appeared that concerns revolved around not having the equipment or knowledge of how to download, the cost, the time involved, and lingering questions about the legality of downloading. Let’s address these one by one.

• Is downloading movies legal?

Top Ten Tear Jerker Movies

Love them or hate them, tear jerkers set themselves apart from other films by the profound way in which their audiences are affected. The tear jerker connects with the audience on a deep and emotional level which can leave one spellbound for days afterwards.

Here’s my top ten:

1. The Notebook (2004) – Starring Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams

A tale of love lasting a lifetime and conquering all

2. A Very Long Engagement (2004) – Starring Audrey Tautou and Marion Cotillard
